Industrialize Africa
A multi-purpose plant

At MIG, we wish to popularize across Africa a pioneering innovation, the “multipurpose factory”- of which an example is already in place in Diamniadio. The coexistence of production lines dedicated to different products within the same workshop has become common in other regions. MIG’s innovation lies in the fact that all operators will be trained on all production lines – with the objective that each of them is eventually capable of working on each of the lines. With such approach, it is possible to optimize production and adjust rates as close as possible to the order book by reallocating human resources as needed. It also provides each operator with multiple skills, giving them a more diverse expertise as well as an overall understanding of the production flows. Thanks to this, they will be able to bring a ‘field’ expertise to research and design department and contribute to its efforts – and they will also be able to adapt easily to manufacturing the new products designed by the R&D team. More than workers, MIG looks forward to developing industrial talents – to drive a new dynamic throughout Africa.
